Very friendly and helpful staff. Good recommendations for Pintxu bars. Out of centre location but easy access by frequent bus service.

If you don't want to stay in the noisy nightlife, this is the hotel for you. Parking seems to be a problem in the town centre, but here you can park your car in the front yard. Villa Donosti seemed recently renovated. Nice and clean with very friendly staff. One star is definitely underrated, probably given because of the lack of service at bigger hotels such as big breakfast buffet and such. Take bus 13 and you're in the town center in ten minutes. Good value for the money.
Away from the town center, if you want to hop bars until early in the morning. We didn't.

Perfect hotel. A home away from home. From the smile at breakfast to the free umbrella when it rains. Especially recommended to lovers of good food: the hotel is across from Arzak and one of the owners provides his own private list with the best food spots in San Sebastian.

The hotel was quirky and the location was marvellous and handy short walk to Spain as well as San Sebastián. Generally everything was really good, even so the bathroom was tiny. The staff was nice, helped with every request. The breakfast with good coffee and free + water and juice was free. I came here for 2 nights and had a very enjoyable stay...
The hotel staff was not very helpful.

The staff is very friendly and helpful and gave a very warm welcome and thorough introduction to San Sebastian. The rooms are very nicely decorated and furnished. Walking from the hotel to town and the beach is no problem. And there's a bar and a nice outdoor patio/loung at the hotel should you wish to relax there.
The shower in our room didn't have any curtain or retaining wall - just a piece of glass on a hinge that went from shin to shoulder height. So, water splashes all over the bathroom floor when you take a shower.

Very nice people running the hotel. Bus line very convenient. Clean.
Pointed eave was close to bed side which made it easy to bump your head. Breakfast wasn't a good value, no protein. The bathroom had a unusual smell even though it was very clean.

Very small clean well run and welcoming hotel. Quiet and nicely presented throughout. Rooms lovely.
Breakfast choice was basic but authentically local. For my son this could have been better for myself no problem.

The hotel is tastefully decorated and staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
The room is not sound-proof so it can be noisy when other occupants enter or leave their rooms especially during early morning or late at night.
